Havanton (/havanton / [Translation Unavailable]) is a subtropical Town located in Pjdranjlijikigi County, Yutate County, within the Kingdom of Helsteria.

The name Havanton is derived from the Sylvin language, as Havanton was founded by Bregeg̈m Abbott, who was culturaly Sylvin.

Climate

Havanton has a yearly average temperature of 27°C (80°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 32°C (89°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Havanton receives an average of 177 cm/y (69 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the fall. Havanton covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 5584 m (18320 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Havanton was founded durring the late 14th century in winter of the year 1271, by Bregeg̈m Abbott. The establishment of Havanton was somewhat plagued by a lack of willing colonists, leading to Bregeg̈m Abbott electing to pay people to resettle in Havanton .

Havanton was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the late 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Havanton is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Havanton is is constructed arround a semi-circular broad packed earth mainstreet, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town emploies a series of defencive earthworks and fences to provide minimal protection against wild beasts and smaller groups of intelegent foes. Havanton 's somewhat suffishent are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Your first impression of Havanton proves to be right on the money. This town is where the rebels chose to settle. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Havanton 's natural decorations nor waterways.

Havanton has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Havanton has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

There’s more than one leader in Havanton , but at least some of them are at each other’s throats. It might be a conflict between formal leadership and informal authorities, or it could be a struggle among civil officials. Their interests might diverge sharply, or it could be a personal grudge that’s boiled over. Outside threats and internal problems are likely being ignored until the power struggle is resolved.

Havanton 's town hall was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used has a sleek, linear appearance with stylized, often geometric ornamentation. The primary facade of its buildings often featured a series of set backs that create a stepped outline. Low-relief decorative panels can be found at entrances, around windows, along roof edges or as string courses. It was best known for its use of smooth finish building materials such as stucco, concrete block, glazed brick or mosaic tile. History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Havanton was attacked by savage tribes living nearby Havanton . The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Havanton lost 250 people, 241 livestock, and 61 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 193, when members of Havanton 's militia enacted an operation to gain control of a particular fortification. The operation was complicated by freezing cold, such that the troops suffered frostbite. The conflict ended with an assault and siege on the fortification, which ended in a stalemate for Havanton 's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Havanton 's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
